Li'l Millet, playing piano

and bass, was also a

songwriter. Around 1952,

he joined The Hawkettes,

He then formed his own

band with The Creoles

and had regional hits

with the 1955 songs 'Rich

Woman’ and 'Hopeless

Love’, both co-written

with Dorothy LaBostrie

who mentioned that Li'l

was a shy performer who

didn’t hanker for the

bright lights. Millet and

his Creoles performed

until the 1980s.

group from Philadelphia.

They recorded a few songs

on the Chess label in 1973.

a great ballad and was

coupled with 'Why are

you so hard to forget'.

There's not much info

about the band. Members

were Bobby Ott, Horace

Ott and Billy Frazier. The

songs were written and

produced by Billy Frazier

and arranged by Bobby

Martin and Horace Ott.

Under his own name,

Billy Frazier recorded

about a dozen singles

on different labels from

1961 till 1980.
